Tuition: All fees are due on or before the first day of class.
Material/Tools: All materials including clay, tools and glazes are included in the cost. A wide variety and number of tools are available to use at the studio. Students are welcome to bring their own personal tools as well. It is recommended to bring an apron or clothing that can ‘get dirty’. Each student is allocated a shelf at the beginning of the term to store his or her work and personal belongings. Use of porcelain and firing fees are additional charges (see below).
Firing Fees: For adult students, class work size is measured and a charge of $0.05 per cubic inch (rounded to 1/4 inch) is due prior to firing any work. There is a $1.00 minimum charge for firing. For children’s classes, firing fees are included in the tuition.

Studio Rules
The studio is a shared community space. Please respect the space and others by cleaning up your workspace and placing all tools back where they belong. Be aware of the amount of space we have in the studio, and conserve the space you are using.
There will be no use of larger equipment by any persons other than the Studio Manager. This includes firing, loading/unloading of kiln, and running of the pug mill.
Everything used must be cleaned, picked up, and put away in the correct place before leaving the studio.
Students in multi-week courses will be given shelf space to store work and personal belongs. Shelves must be cleared and all finished work picked up within one month after the course ends.
Finished Work: To help ensure that there is adequate space for works in progress, collect and take home all finished pieces within two weeks of firing.
Abandoned Work: Any work (finished or unfinished) unclaimed in the studio after one month will be tossed.

- Talk while the teacher is talking.

Clean Up Procedure

- Wheels: Clean wheels well. Check buckets for sponges, chamois or tools before emptying into the appropriate larger slip bucket. Turn the wheel off when not in use.
- Clay Tools: Clean well and replace in marked containers. ● Trimming or mess on the floor should be mopped / swept up.
- Work tables with canvas surfaces: Scrape off extra clay and wipe down thoroughly with a large sponge so that no clay remains on the canvas.
- Glaze Area: After glazing, wipe down your surface and any drips or spills on the floor. Cover glaze buckets and push under the counter. Wash off stir sticks and return to their container. Wash paint brushes well and return to their container. Return glaze samples to their proper location.
- Big Sponges: Rinse them out, making sure to remove all traces of oxides and glazes, and place them under the sink.
- Slab Roller: Clean canvas and slab roller of all clay particles and place canvas in designated space to dry out.
- Bats: Put away bats after removing them from your work; do not leave them dirty on class shelves.
- Sinks: Use the slop buckets in the sinks for cleaning dirty tools, buckets and hands. Use clean water for the final rinse. Do not leave containers, paint brushes, etc. in or on the sinks; return them to their designated locations.
